for Providing English Lessons

1. Introduction

These terms and conditions govern the provision of English language tutoring services by Mauro Marion Bizzotto ("Tutor") to the client ("Client"). By booking a lesson, the Client agrees to these terms and conditions.

2. Services

The Tutor will provide English language lessons on an hourly basis.

Each lesson will last for a pre-agreed duration, typically one hour.

Lessons will be conducted in person or online (Google Meet, etc.).

3. Scheduling and Cancellations

Lessons should be booked at least 2 days in advance.

Booked lessons should be attended and can’t be rescheduled. It is the responsibility of the Client to organise their own schedule accordingly. 

Missed or cancelled lessons will, therefore, not be refunded.

The Tutor reserves the right to cancel or reschedule lessons due to unforeseen circumstances with prior notice to the Client.

3.1 Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

Knowing the unpredictability of life, we've created a cancellation and rescheduling option for our lessons:

• Lessons can be rescheduled at no additional cost if the student notifies the tutor at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson time.
• If the student needs to cancel a lesson with less than 24 hours' notice, they will be charged the full cost of the missed lesson. However, we understand that emergencies can occur - in cases of serious illness, family emergency, or other extenuating circumstances, we will do our best to work with the student to find a solution.
• The tutor reserves the right to cancel or reschedule lessons due to unexpected circumstances, such as illness or family emergency. In these cases, the tutor will provide the student with as much advance notice as possible and any missed lessons will be rescheduled at no additional cost.

3.2 Course Discontinuation

While we hope that all our students are able to complete their chosen course, we understand that life's circumstances can change, and a student may need to discontinue their studies with us. In the event of course discontinuation, any refund will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, without including the discount that was applied to the original package price. For example, if a student purchased a 20-hour package at the discounted rate of £700, and they have completed 10 hours, the refund would be calculated as follows:

• Original package price: £700 (£35 per hour)
• Discounted package price: £700 (£35 per hour)
• Refund for 10 remaining hours: £350 (£35 per hour)

That said, refunds will only be issued in cases of extenuating circumstances, such as serious illness or family emergency. The tutor reserves the right to request supporting documentation to verify the extenuating circumstances.

4. Fees and Payments

Payment is required at the time of booking.

Payments can be made via Bank Transfer, Paypal, Credit and Debit Cards.

5. Refunds and Credits

If a lesson is cancelled by the Tutor, the Client may choose to reschedule the lesson or receive a full refund for that lesson.

Prepaid packages are non-refundable. In exceptional circumstances, unused hours may be converted into a credit towards future lessons at the Tutor's discretion.

6. Confidentiality and Privacy

The Tutor will not disclose any personal information provided by the Client to third parties without the Client's express consent, except as required by law. All materials provided during the lessons are proprietary and are intended for the Client's personal use only.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Tutor is not liable for any indirect, special, or consequential loss or damage arising under these terms and conditions or in connection with the Tutor’s services. The Tutor’s liability in respect of any direct loss or damage sustained by the Client, regardless of the cause, is limited to the total amount paid by the Client for the lessons concerned.

8. Amendment of Terms

The Tutor reserves the right to update or amend these terms and conditions at any time. Such amendments will be effective immediately upon notification to the Client.

9. Governing Law

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Italy/UE.

10. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes or claims arising out of or in connection with these terms and conditions should be resolved through mediation prior to seeking any legal action.

11. Acceptance

Booking and paying for a lesson signifies acceptance of these terms and conditions.
